Alif Zey is a Germany-based singer/songwriter. Her upcoming EP ‚AURORA‘ is influenced by her turkish heritage mixed with electronic sounds. She is dedicating her EP to all women (of color) who she feels bound to and is referring to as goddesses of the dawn.
„We all carry a mirror into which ourselves can not look, until one other opens theirs for us.
The surface of our eyes serves as a mirror like it also does as a window to our souls. If we’re brave enough to look into each other’s mirrors, I believe we’ll awaken. Aurora is an invitation to look into my soul and maybe discover more of yourself. When I’m creating music I’m trying to create a portal, into which we collectively can dip and explore our deepest and maybe untouched parts.“
