LOMA REQS

EVENTS: Berlin 2026

LOMA REQS is a daring collision of modern Kurdish poetry, electronic music, improvisation, rap, and traditional singing. Shifting from ironic feminist wedding songs to raw reflections on national suppression and colonialism, the band stretches the limits of musical and political expression.

They call it: Kurdish Acid.

Hêja’s piercing voice, deeply rooted in Kurdish tradition, intertwines with Rico Danta’s beats and synthesizers to create a sonic language that feels both ancient and futuristic. Techno, Acid House, Reggaeton, and heavy bass collide with distorted saz by Said’ê Tembûrvan and the driving drums of El Profesoro Eray Çaylı.

Every song acknowledges survival and resilience, transforming struggle into rhythm and memory into music. Loma Reqs means “That’s why we dance” in Kurdish — a bold, unflinching statement of presence.
