tofan (sturm) is a literary anthology about friendship, the haunting of revolutionary movements, rebellion and holding on. The texts in the anthology, which give expression to Afghan, Kurdish, Armenian and Iranian freedom struggles, among others, attempt to break down conventional notions of nation, ethnicity and state. In a musical reading followed by a discussion, Damon Taleghani and Sâre Zer offer new approaches to their texts. From political satire to mourning as collective witness, the authors' excerpts offer a chance to reflect on past and present revolutionary moments.
