In the dance workshop contemporary raqksing, Tümay Kılınçel combines elements of so-called “belly dance” or “oriental dance” with contemporary influences from her artistic practice. Inspired by her productions such as we ♥ 2 raqs, Dansöz and Raks Solo as well as her research in Germany, Turkey and Egypt, a dynamic space is created with a musical mix. The focus is on self-enjoyment and the joy of movement. After a short input on resistance, memory and representation, the participants are invited to move.
